If you don’t know me!
My name is Lana , I’m originally from
Bosnia and Hercegovina from a city called Sarajevo. What brought me to England .
I was just 8 years old when the war broke out in my country. I grew up during the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s. My memories as child before the siege are beautiful family times and going to my weekend house in Blagaj (Mostar) regular trips to jahorina skiing every winter, which the war then torn apart. During the siege, the army encircled the city, targeting civilians, and for years citizens of Sarajevo lived in fear. Thousands of children and people were killed and many more were robbed of a normal childhood this included me. I spent years in a state of fear and deprivation, dreaming of chocolate, fresh fruit, and other luxuries stolen by the circumstances, often cowering in cellars during shelling. My generation that was raised in the Bosnia war were forced to grow up prematurely. Today, this is a reality for children in conflict zones all over the world, and those who survive the violence often suffer from health and psychological problems long after the conflict ends. No one thinks about what it is like to be a child during war and what it is like to grow up during war. What it’s like to have your parent on front line and not see them for two years and no contact. But war does not end just because the guns are put down. War lives on, passed down to future generations and disseminated. I had no choice but to become part of a war story. So here I am, we eventually came to England in 1994. For me my own life journey that has been my biggest teacher for me. I’ve gone from unconfident ,and limiting my beliefs that held me back due to thinking I can’t do that , I don’t deserve that , to an authentic and loving relationship with myself. And it is my deepest heart mission to help you to do the same, because I know that’s doable no matter who you are or where you stand today. You just need to be willing!
I started LVW Beauty 14 years ago and despite enduring the tough recession, it is now a well-established business that has been built on reputation and quality of service offered to my clients. The majority of my business now comes from client referral, which I think evidences the high standards to which LVW conducts its treatment.
LVW Beauty has two part to the business:
1) LVW Clinic; and
2) LVW Academy
LVW Clinic
The LVW Clinic offers to its client’s treatments such as:
- Microblading
- Scalp Micropigmentation
- Permanent Makeup
- Anti-wrinkle injections
- Dermal Fillers
I have been able to offer the above through my persistence and dedication into further development and training for myself.
Through my passion and care for the work I do, I have been successful in receiving positive 5 star reviews from clients and students that have taken the time to provide feedback.
Since LVW’s inception, I strived to reach a stage where I was able to impart my knowledge from my learning, to others that wanted to enter the Beauty Industry. Having had first hand experience in the difficulties that I was faced with in being able to start up LVW, I wanted to try and make the journey for others somewhat easier.
In 2014, I setup LVW Academy, which offers training courses in Semi-Permanent Makeup and it has been going from strength to strength. 98% of my students I train and teach have been previous student of LVW and return in order to broaden their knowledge and offerings. I receive students from all walks of life; from nurses to Accountants to mothers that wish to explore a new career.
Students of LVW do not gain qualification or certification until such time that those students have been able to offer the high-quality standard of treatment that LVW is renowned for. I assess this by conducting as many practice sessions as necessary before then moving them on to recorded case studies.
I have assisted many students in setting up their own businesses and guided them through the process to help them be as successful as possible. For me it’s about helping them be the best they can be and be successful in what they’ve learnt! That’s the most satisfactory thing about my training academy. It is very upsetting to me to see people receive inadequate training and receiving a certificate without the necessary training and experience. The happiest moment for me then comes when I have been able to provide them the required training and experience for them to grow and run their own successful business. In 2019 I was nominated to an award for best training academy of 2019 which I won, which was the biggest boost for me to keep going and strive for more.
Over and above LVW Beauty Clinic and LVW Beauty Academy, I work very closely with charities, especially for cancer patients and alopecia clients. Previously I have completed areola and scar treatment for clients that have been through cancer as well as hair loss treatments for those with alopecia. I have also offered my brow treatments for patients that are going chemotherapy and done a significant number of clients free of charge.
In support of the Midlands Air Ambulance, I offered semi-permanent treatment, which would be placed into an auction and the proceeds of which would be donated to this Charity.
Being able to see an improvement in confidence and self-esteem in people is so important for me and gives me such an amazing satisfaction that I have helped in some kind of way after all the trauma they go through.
I sincerely love what I do and it has changed my life in so many ways. It has given my family a better quality of life and opened up opportunities that I could never have foreseen. I thoroughly care about my clients and my student. I am so proud when I see their lives change and also their work improve and quite often share their beautiful work on line for others to see which is so rewarding for me and them.
In the first lockdown I have also managed to set up two business I set up a suppliers business for the academy in selling my own permanent make up supplies and also I started a qualification in life coaching and inner child therapy to help myself originally and fell in love with the results I gaine, that I wanted to help others heal themselves too. I started coaching women in gaining self confidence and healing from childhood trauma.
I have always been go getter if I didn’t try it would bother me what if it worked out. There has been times I set up businesses in the past that haven’t worked out so I am proud of how far I have come and what I achieved.
Lana Vejzovic Wilson I never stop learning, regularly attending permanent make up and healing master classes and workshops to update and learn new skills.
In 2014 Lana launched her own permanent/semipermanent make up training courses, which are designed to help the next generation of artists and pro technicians achieve their dreams, by providing outstanding clinical services whilst developing a successful freelance business.
Her work has been featured extensively online.
